![]() The various fracture patterns depend on the mechanism and degree of the externally applied forces, with the usually reported causes including traffic accidents, assaults, falls, sports and gunshot injuries. These fractures are generally defined as fractures that simultaneously involve at least three out of four subunits of the facial skeleton, that is, the frontal area, upper and lower part of midfacial area, and mandibular area. Panfacial fractures (PFs) are often the result of high-energy injuries and present remarkable challenges to both surgeons and patients. Patients with FULM and FISS > 11 had an obviously higher proportion of the need for multiprofessional treatment. The combination of PF categories and FISS provided a better positive and negative prediction of concomitant injuries and complications for PF patients. Conclusionsīoth the anatomic PF categories and FISS were significantly correlated with various concomitant injuries and complications. The FISS score showed a significant difference with PF patterns ( p = 0.000) and sex ( p = 0.007), and a FISS value of 11 or more is the appropriate cutoff for the prediction of multiple concomitant injuries and complications. Different PF patterns were significantly correlated with different types of concomitant injuries and complications. ![]() There was a significant association between PF patterns and sex ( p = 0.018), the number of concomitant injuries ( p = 0.014), and early surgical airway management ( p = 0.003). The most commonly fractured bones were the maxillary sinus wall (92.1%), mandible (82.8%), and zygomatic arch (75.3%), and the most common fracture sites in PFs were graphically presented. ResultsĪ total of 227 patients were enrolled. ![]() Statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22.0. ![]() Data regarding patient demographics, causes of injury, location of fractures, major concomitant injuries, and postinjury complications were collected, and the FISS score was collected from each patient. PF was defined as a concurrent fracture in at least 3 of 4 facial subunits (frontal, upper midface, lower midface, and mandible). MethodsĪ retrospective review of all patients treated with PFs at our institution between June 2010 and April 2021 was performed. The purpose of this study was to identify the epidemiologic factors of panfacial fractures (PFs), and to evaluate the significance of anatomic PF categories and the Facial Injury Severity Scale (FISS) in classifying and standardizing panfacial injuries. ![]()

![]() I have purchased 8 Super Fat Cats now and despite a thorough washdown each and very time they are used – 4 of these 2 tone boats have failed in less than 1 year – all in the same place – along the waterline in the lighter coloured tan strip which bleaches out in a month or two to white and subsequently becomes weak and thereby prone to failure. Not only does this make for extra unnecessary seams to stitch (and to possibly fail) but the fact that 2 colours are present means that each colour reacts at different rates to the UV light. My only real source of grief is the fact that in the more recent incarnations of the Super Fat Cat – Outcast has for some reason chosen a 2-tone colour scheme…. Myself and my clients (most of whom are entirely new to float tubing) without exception find them extremely stable and comfortable platforms from which to cast as we target fish like tarpon and other saltwater gamefish like snook, snapper, jacks and barracuda from them. But skills cost TP to use and you only have a limited amount and the only way to recover TP is by using items or hitting with your standard attack. So the enemies in front of your character may be resistant to your type but the enemies in another area are weak so you’re better off trying to attack them. This is where strategy comes in as the game has a paper-scissors-rock style battle element, where your characters are one element out of strength, technique or speed and your enemies are another. Your characters do have skills which do allow them to hit one or more enemies but either those that are close to you or enemies in another area. How this works is that you can only use a standard attack on the enemy in front of you. One of your team could be facing 2 enemies and the other teammates are in different areas facing one enemy each. Usually, in RPG turn-based combat you are on one side and the enemy is on the other, but in this game, it is split between 3-4 areas. The combat is where they have added a new dimension to turn-based combat. The rules of advantage work here if you sneak up on an enemy you gain a critical advantage and the enemy gets an advantage if they catch you from behind. Some enemies cannot be avoided as they block certain paths. By this I mean you can run around the enemies to avoid encounters unless you catch their line of sight and then they will chase you down. The battle encounters are not random but are more semi-controlled. But the exploring will cause a mixed reaction I am sure, as there are a lot of vast areas with not much in them and your character runs at a half speed so traversing the map can feel quite sluggish until you can make use of the fast travel options which you have to unlock after quite a chunk of story progression. This allows you to explore the maps, but it will prevent you from going to certain places until certain parts of the story have progressed. One Piece Odyssey plays as a mixture of open-world and linear gameplay which is common with Japanese anime RPGs. The game’s story is divided into arcs that follow the events of the anime and manga, and players can also participate in various side quests and activities. But as you try to work out the mystery on the island there seems to be a bigger plot afoot to stop the Straw Hat pirates from unlocking the mystery of the island. You need to find these blocks to regain your strength and some memories of skills that have been lost. You meet some giant critters and a young lady who can remove all your strength and skill into blocks which seem to be attached to memories. As they explore for a way to repair their boat they discover there is more to this island than they could have bargained for. The plot follows Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates sailing to the new world when a storm shipwrecks them on a mysterious island. The game also features a combat system that combines elements of turn-based and action-based gameplay. The graphics and art style of the game are faithful to the anime and manga, and the voice acting for the characters is also well done even if it is in Japanese with English subtitles. Players take on the role of Monkey.D.Luffy the pirate and you can recruit other characters from the series to join their crew as you progress. The game features a vast open-world environment, allowing players to explore the world of One Piece and interact with its inhabitants. The size (amps) of the subpanel's main breaker is not important. Our policy lasts 7 days. ![]() In the same circumstances, you do not need a main breaker in the subpanel (but hey, if it's free, take it). It does not need a ground rod if it's in the same building, or if the buildings share a wall or are connected by a hall or breezeway. Running out of panel spaces is expensive (I hardly need to tell you that, do I?) So The cheapest thing to do is actually get a nice big panel with PLENTY of spaces - 24 or 30 spaces is not excessive. On the subpanel, your best bet is to Think BIG. You will need to buy an accessory ground bar. Neutral must be separate from ground in the subpanel. The advantage to 60A is that breaker is cheap. You can use a 60A to 90A breaker with it. As such, the best value for wiring is actually #2 aluminum, such as 2-2-2-4 SER. You will only be in trouble soon after, when you run out of spaces again!Ĭable prices are weird, because aluminum wire is considered bad at small sizes but good at large szies. Planning for the smallest possible is a bad mistake. So plan to allow for more load than you need right now. That being said, upsizing will allow flexibility and future expansion.Īlso keep in mind that if the subpanel includes any ordinary receptacle circuits (with 15A or 20A 120V receptacles), while you may think "3A for xyz tool", the next user may plug in a 12A space heater. Most of the time things are not perfectly balanced, but it is reasonable to use a 40A double-breaker to feed a subpanel with those sorts of loads. If it is in a different building then you probably need two ground rods, and a shutoff/disconnect as well.Ĥ0A (39.22 rounded up) of 120V loads is really only 20A of 240V load if perfectly balanced. You do not need a ground rod at the subpanel if it is in the same building. But you need to make sure ground and neutral are kept separate in the subpanel, even if they are mixed together in the actual main panel. If so, that main breaker can be any size equal to or larger than the feed breaker in the actual main panel. However, it can have one, and sometimes a "main panel" that includes a main breaker makes sense. Get at least a 12 space panel (larger is fine) so that you have room future expansion.Ī subpanel in the same building does not, as I understand it, need a shutoff or main breaker. If you need "5 poles" in the subpanel, presumably that means 5 single breakers for 120V loads. For example, 2 AWG aluminum will get you 90A, enough for a huge subpanel, and cost (typically) close to the price of 8 AWG or even 10 AWG copper. However, you can also normally use aluminum wire instead of copper wire when connecting panels, and that can save a lot of money even though you need to use larger wire. ![]() The breaker in the main panel connected to the feed wires to the subpanel has to match the wire or be a lower value (with certain exceptions). However, if you are using individual conductors in conduit (instead of cables) and 75 C terminations (which, as I understand it, is generally the case for most standard circuit breakers and panels) then you get more - 8 AWG 50A, 6 AWG 65A. ![]() Generally speaking, 10 AWG will get you 30A, 8 AWG 40A, 6 AWG 55A. Nameplate values matter, but with plug-in receptacles anything is possible and you should plan for that (within reason).Subpanel can provide any amount up to the feed breaker, though it can have (for convenience if bundled) a larger main breaker. There are a few different issues here, but basically: ![]() ![]() The (Northbound) Dash / Boyle Heights / East Los Angeles / to Whittier & Rowan ((Northbound) Dash / Boyle Heights / East Los Angeles / to Whittier & Rowan) bus fare is about $0.35.Ĭlick here to view the nearest DASH bus stop. ![]() Modern allows cards from the 8th Edition core set and all expansions printed afterwards. Modern was created by Wizards of the Coast in the Spring of 2011 as a response to the increasing popularity of the Legacy format, which although popular proved difficult to access due to the high price of staple cards. The frame has just been a way to easily convey that information.Modern is the newest constructed format. So even the blue Hurricane and Green Serendib Efreet were technically green and blue respectively. It's always been the mana cost, color ability, or color indicator. I don't think the frame has ever been used to officially indicate color. Now, the above cards won't work on older cards with color abilities. They then updated the Oracle text of all the cards to remove the "color ability" of cards and replace them with the color indicator. This was treated as an ability, so you could use a card that changed all instances of one color word on another to change the color of cards like that.īut around original Innistrad, they started using the color indicator to denote the colors of the night side of cards. ![]() Yeah, if you look at older printings of it, it will say "Pact of Negation is blue". The mtg gamepedia article on color identity has a good lay description of how it works, as well as the literal rules from the Comprehensive Rules. Really, like the entire issue in this comment chain is because someone started casually throwing around the words identity and indicator and rules text without being precise, and now there's a lot of confusing stuff said. So REB can't hit Memnarch (barring other circumstances) and White Knight is not actually protected from anything Alesha does. However however, when doing stuff like ], or figuring out protection ala ], just the literal color of the card (as indicated by mana cost in the upper right, or a color indicator in the typeline for those without mana costs) matters. Similarly, you couldn't play ] in the Bosh deck, because of the B mana in the flashback cost, but you could play it in the Alesha deck because she's RBW. However, you can't play ] in your ] deck, because Bosh as a color identity of red, and Alesha (while being a mono-red card) has a color identity of red-white-black, which is not a subset of red. It lets you do stuff like have ] as the commander of your blue deck because of his activated ability, or ] in red, or ] as the commander of a Mardu (RWB) deck, even though she's a red card, because of the W/B hybrid mana in her text. r/magicTCG is not produced, endorsed, supported by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast. ![]() ![]() We found it was best enjoyed in short bursts rather than playing over an intensive weekend, lest the initial excitement turns to tedium. ![]() Yet because of the repetitive nature of the climbing and combat, you’re also glad it’s any longer than it is. With a roughly seven-hour campaign, Call of the Mountain is considerably meatier than most single-player VR experiences, though still a far cry from Half-Life: Alyx in length, variety, and challenge. You also have to craft different kinds of ammunition, such as blaze or shock arrows, though some of that repetition is cut down so that if you’ve collected enough parts to craft say multiple arrows, you only have to do the crafting mini-game once to get them all. We do feel like Legolas effortlessly grabbing an arrow over our shoulder then pulling back the bowstring in quick succession, though given the number of arrows needed to take down the tough machines, repeating this motion quickly gets knackering. For these encounters, you’ll also be mainly using your bow, though you do eventually unlock a blast sling, which we found a bit too slow and doesn’t have as good range. PSVR 2’s haptics enhance the feeling of being in the virtual presence of these hulking machinesįighting also restricts your movement to essentially strafing with the left stick, inside a prescribed arena, and dodging with the right stick. You’ll face packs of scrappers and watchers, before going toe-to-toe with showstoppers like the Thunderjaw. The other key mechanic is combat, and while there is ultimately a human threat to thwart, Call of the Mountain wisely focuses on encounters with the series’ iconic mechanical dinos. Jumping also requires swinging your arms back at specific marked points, with the action slowing down for dramatic effect – and so you have time to react. You can even walk by swinging your arms and holding a button down for each controller, though frankly we appreciated the option to just use stick controls. There are playful objects to mess about with like a pair of maracas or pottery you can smash like a vandal. When you’re not climbing, your hands are given plenty more to do, especially at the start. The surfaces you climb go from sides of a mountain to man-made structures to even those iconic Tallnecks, but eventually you’ll come to another wall and sigh, “Not again”. In fairness, the new tools and mechanics unlocked and crafted along the way offer some variety, such as a pair of pickaxes or a grappling hook. You’d think getting down would be trickier, but fast travel takes you swiftly back to the game’s hub. Even playing for 20 minutes at a time this is a physically tiring game, as while the way forward is often linear and clearly marked, your arms are constantly reaching out as you look for ways to ascend. Player character Ryas is a disgraced soldier given the chance to atone for his past by investigating a potential new threat up in the mountains. But while starting out like a theme park ride (albeit one where your hand can reach out and touch the water), it makes you work it to see the sights. Would I blindly recommend it? Not that I'm lucky that I didn't experience a second of motion sickness, but I can imagine that if you're sensitive to that, this isn't for you. From the outset, when you’re in a boat floating down a jungle stream surrounded by machines, Call of the Mountain takes every opportunity to make your jaw drop. I think it's pretty clear that I've gone from curious to convinced in a relatively short period of time. Gt 7 is fantastic and then you have indie games like Pistol Whip that make you feel like you're in a John Wick movie while doing a whole workout that leaves you sweating afterwards. Horizon as the biggest example in the trailers, it seemed like a glorified tech demo that was graphically in between PS4 and PS5, but after playing it myself I left with a much more positive impression. I've found that while VR game announcements have always been a little off to me because trailers couldn't convey the right experience, that same game can still blow me away in VR. I currently own 8 PSVR 2 games across multiple genres and haven't regretted it for a second. With PSVR 2, the price tag was a bit of a shock at first, but I finally decided to give in. I was always interested in VR, but found the resolution on the old set far too low and the games not convincing enough. While the games I've played so far are great fun, it's of course a gamble on support in the future. Set up, I expected to have to prepare a lot but you go through a few steps and within 5-10 minutes you can enter your first game. Horizon is really beautiful and Gran Turismo in VR really gives a very special experience. The games I didn't expect to have so much fun with. Extremely good quality, VR is of course still emerging, but you clearly notice that it is going at a high pace. ![]() ![]() ![]()
